L'Important c'est la Rose

On searching through Daddy's files, I came across several copies of the lyrics to this song, printed using a manual typewriter. What was the importance of this song?   The English translation is "The Importantce of Love" and it explains that love is the most important thing in the world despite all the mundane things that go wrong in life.  Also, Rose is Mummy's middle name. I'm fondly imagining that this is a love song to my mother.  Daddy was such a romantic.
